This vintage 80s shirt my sister is wearing is truly wonderful. The colours of pastel pinky nude and very faint green are great colours for the subtle summer look. This vintage oversized shirt works in many ways and has so much potential to be worn in many ways.
As I walked into hobby craft to look for material, I noticed a small pink glue gun and I instantly needed it. I had so many ideas in my mind of how I could use it. As soon as I got home I searched around my house for something to decorate. I found these sunglasses and I thought they were perfect.
I have no clue why it didn’t occur to me before to paint on my jeans, however, I have had great fun painting these jeans with simple acrylic paints. I painted a pop-art image on the pocket of a girls face with rich colours. I also painted a range of flowers and coloured faces on the back of one leg of these jeans. I mean, they are pretty messy as I was simply experimenting but I love that this has allowed me to personalise my jeans and I know that I can use this method in the future to change up my wardrobe.
I have also embroidered parts of these jeans as I was practising my hand embroidery. On the back of one leg I embroidered a simple pattern of blue flowers with pale pink stalks. I like the contrast between one jean leg and the other as one is completely covered in bright coloured paint and pictures and the other has simply one embroidered flower pattern. These jeans go so well with this white top I am wearing in these pictures. The contrast between the white and colour I feel works really well in this outfit and the plain white especially highlights the jeans and makes them a more eye-catching aspect to the outfit.
